FSS
I have FSS (flat surface syndrome) which means I have things strewn out most everywhere. I have nobody else in the house so can't blame it on anyone else. Those of us with FSS don't even know we have it, it's so chronic. We don't want to have it, there is no known medication for it, no valid treatment for it, it's not something purposeful to frustrate others -- it just "is." My mother tried to cure me, my late husband tried to cure me, I've tried almost everything to cure me for well over 60 years -- but the dis-ease, unfortunately, continues. On behalf of all those who are suffering from FSS, I apologize and sincerely want all of you enablers and co-dependents who have to put up with us, thank you and we love you from the bottom of our hearts -- and, most of all, we surely do appreciate you.

Quilting Again
This morning, my sister and my cousin came and we had two sewing machines going and one stationed at the ironing board. We completed enough quilt blocks for about 1-1/2 quilts. Cousin took more material home with her and the blocks we completed this morning for 1/2 of a quilt top. I kept the quilt blocks for another quilt top and we both have projects to complete before next week. It's so satisfying to be with people I've known for over 50 years and laugh and giggle, and finish each other's sentences. Nice therapy!
It snowed here this morning, and then it turned to slush, and then rain. Riana and I stayed in the house tonight as I wanted to stay warm and cozy rather than running through the rain. Very nice day overall.
I've been spending quite a bit of time on the Mudflats website over the weekend. Lots of information about many things, including Alaska, Alaska politics, Mount Redoubt erupting, the oil crisis in the small villages, things that make me laugh and things that make cry. If you haven't visited there -- check it out. AKM, the blogger, is a very talented writer. You can visit Mudflats at http://www.themudflats.net/. It can be addicting!
Decided it was time for me to get back to the blog I started and didn't keep up after two lonely posts.

Silences of Women in Business
Back in the 1980's, I wrote a thesis on the "Silences of Women in Business." It's something I still have a great interest in. If you have an interest in this subject, please let me know.

Snowy Minnesota
It's a cold snowy day in Minnesota. Riana is waiting for her hot chocolate after being outside sliding. Snowsuit, hat, scarf, mittens are hanging up to dry and the boots have had the snow removed so hopefully all will be dry by morning. We are in the house for the rest of the day!
Roads are bad so we will not be going out tonight! She had hoped to go to the skating arena to skate inside. Guess we will have to wait for another day.
For all of you who are out in this weather, keep warm and safe!
